When machines experience a failure our first approach is to collect the technical information and failure history. We then think, take an overview rather than the narrower approach of investigating the apparent immediate problem, and carry out a macro-analysis.  In this way and by means of quick - and often approximate - calculations, we are able to eliminate many of the possible causes of failure and focus on the key areas for a more detailed micro-analysis.

Failure projects invariably benefit from 'hands on' investigation on site, although we are sometimes able to give advise via photographic and descriptive evidence alone. This is especially useful to our clients abroad. Our work on machinery failures and tribological problems covers many types of machines over the complete spectrum of industries
